Corrosive

I tried to drink you....but i knew
You always felt, looked and moved like
Something that should've been life in every drop

But i was naive....
I realise now i should've boiled you!
Should've placed a worthy fabric above you

I would have been so happy
With whatever drops of purity
That fabric could absorb

However small the amount its the
True form that counts....right?

So i let you be as you intended....corrosive,
Undrinkable in your true form,
You've worn away tougher than me

But then, searching all the rivers your bound
To reach the sea....right?
