Life's Not Fair
I always thought I loved you.
From days that passed me by.
In bygone times I'd hope to.
Be with you, I don't know why.
It doesn't really matter anymore.
There's no place for me in your life.
And I can't see a future for you.
Where I could ever be your wife.
I seek to find how you might love me.
But I know I can't be sure.
When hard times took me.
I opened that new door.
When half your time is spent alone.
Wandering the streets in the night.
Fighting unholy spirits on my own.
I need a place where I feel alright.
I saw my wish would come true.
And I took it as a sign.
That I would be the one with you.
I'd be yours and you'd be mine.
I reach through the darkness and I see.
That you were always only pure.
When shadows broke me.
I loved you more and more.
Life's not fair!
The hell?
I can't believe it's true.
What she said to me.
I think I already knew.
Life can burn you out.
I never thought I'd lose.
You can't turn me down.
If I don't confess to you.
Bottled up my feelings inside.
And I head into the distance.
My only love has been denied.
So I hunt in a new labyrinth.
Can't I try another time?
Is there anywhere left for me to go?
The ocean of my tears has dried.
But my heart won't turn to stone.
Hard times won't take me over again.
I will not be this story's fallen friend.
It's my turn to tell the story I deserve.
Now listen to me, my tale of hurt.
Life's not fair!
The hell?
I can't believe it's true.
What she said to me.
I think I already knew.
Life can burn you out.
I never thought I'd lose.
You can't turn me down.
If I don't confess to you.
Life's not fair!
The hell?
I guess I know it's true.
The words I will tell.
Paint a symphony of blue.
Life can burn you out.
But I will never lose.
You can turn me down.
But I won't give up on you.
From days that passed me by.
In bygone times I'd hope to.
Be with you, I don't know why.
