Fly away, you dove.
To the hands of heaven.
You, the chosen one.
Who fought for us all.

You wished to save the world.
To show us how to live.
But you were just a girl.
Who gave all that she could give.

Now they're burning you at the stake.
They don't believe your words.
Was it an angel or a mistake?
Or madness that you heard.

You were the light of France.
God's gift to all who believe.
We take up arms and advance.
As for your soul we grieve.

You were the holy one.
God's chosen maiden who fights.
Brighter than the sun.
Shining the holy light.

So many died for you.
They sacrificed and fell.
Now you are fallen too.
Is what the stories tell.
