Untitled my life is a village
Breathe.
Life and death are
Intrinsically
Entwined
In each
Inhalation
There is the seed of each
Exhalation
Black and
White
Beachheads
Of swimming
Tides and
Shades of
Livings and
Dyings
To see in one death
All death
Eternal and
Separate
Is a source of
Distress
To see in one life
All life
Is also
Distress
To deny
The ever presence of
Raw
Birthing
Renewal
Breathe.
Hands that
Reach
Into a bowl
To grasp
A fish
Continually come away with
Nothing
To die
To self
Is to grasp
There is
No self
There is no definition
Of being
Moment to moment
Only that which experiences
Livings and
Dyings
Hands
Eyes
Black and white
Stones
In the waters
There was nothing
To grasp
Shimmers of
Light
Shadows
Cast over
The bowl
Only motions
Of changings
Realize
The bowl
Is the
Corridor
Of perception
Life itself
Is not
Contained
Therein
Breathe.
Feel the constant
Vibrato of my
Instrument
Attuning
It is ungraspable
Moment to
Moment
Hear the steady
Sonata
That is my
Unstoppable
Pendular
Voice
Sincerely,
R Sculptoris

Opposites are intertwined in every way:) and I love the way you put it, it reminds me of life and living through struggles that only oneself can feel. As always a talented write, Daniel.

Great meditations poet, I feel as though I’m reading scripture straight from Buddha’s scribe. I find the concept of ‘no self’ is often the hardest for many to swim with. Being presumptuous of your references... this was an excellent delivery of the Dhamma!

lol yes I drew from the well of wisdom here. Just offering some perspective and realignment as I seek to embrace them personally. Thank you. :)

a collection of opposites, for better or worse, we cannot have one with out the other
you leave me pondering these dualities.
lovely poem, has a peaceful feel to it

Reading this made me contemplate the balance of life. How dark and light do need each other. A truly thought provoking write. I like your structure again. You have a lovely flow to your work

I drew from the wealth of Buddhism I have studied in this write. In group meditation we are told to imagine a clear blue sky as the field of awareness. We are taught that field of awareness is all that we truly are, not this crude matter. Then instructed to see feelings, situations, circumstances as clouds that are floating through the field of awareness. It is a lesson in impermanence. No past, no future, eternity is the eternal now, which is ever shifting, every moment.
Jeez that went long. I do tend toward verbosity. Haha. Thank you so much for reading and considering. It has been a pleasure thus far. :)

A lovely reply, and once again thought provoking which I always like. I have been practising meditation and visualisation since my teens. Although not Buddhism, what you describe speaks to me. So waffle away :)

I’ve only read a few of your poems but flow/rhythm of your poems are always so spot on. Just cascading downward so wonderfully.
Great write!

Thank you Charlotte. :) If you read backwards through my writes you'll see me I've arrived at a somewhat peaceful place, but did not start there. Life is a process of evolution. I appreciate you.

Between life and Death inspiration, simply valuing life as life is short. Cause the light after death is a whole different type light
..life is beautiful and must live it to the fullest as possible.
Beautiful poem hun ❤

Thank you Nancy. I wrote this during a really Zen time in my life. A vicious heartbreak had given me some really raw, fresh perspective on life. I almost wish I could still be in that agony and how grounded it kept me in the living moment. 💖

Awww sorry but you learn from those dark times we all hate to go through but it's a true living experience. Just simply our future has a different set promise and just have to have faith and patience. I learned to understand that as I had 2 year depression many years before I became a mom and see my last as what was I thinking lol.
I'm goad I'm not still in those heartache relationships, cause I know someone better is waiting to be found or giving a chance to.
Life is just full of surprises and that's why life is beautiful keep writing 🤗❤🤗❤🙂
