People in Motion
Some people are running
their whole lives
they hit the ground
and off they go
crazier than jackrabbits
on a big zigzag.
Other folks
they just stroll
and for them
life is like one
long walk in the park
effortless and endless
they never seem to break sweat.
Then there are the crawlers
they must just enjoy
being on their knees
cause they sure spend
most of their time
down there on the floor
it's painful to watch them.
Me, I like to think
I'm a bit of all three
but the trick is
knowing when to run
knowing when to stroll
and when to crawl
Though all things considered
it don't matter too much
someone has to be first
and someone will be last
but when the race is run
maybe we all wind up
in the same place anyways.

I know where your coming from with this... but i've found a fourth option. Sometimes just sitting out is an adequate solution.
