She sent a request to add me on facebook
She sent me a profile of the child she had created
Used a fake name coloured her hair presented a different look
A child created with an ex best friend this connection she initiated
Six years since our last conversation
Now that I am pursuing dreams conveniently connects
Hesitant neurons misfiring along branches of painful manipulation
Obfuscates the elaborate utopian memories that were caustic disrespect
Stood inside your love for a time
My heart a malleable clay between your fingers
My chaotic heart for a brief few moments felt sublime
Contriving an image as the fragments of carbon copy empathy lingers
Its strange how this disconnect still pains
Paper cut that never knits together like a set of stitches
Remember when we walked hand in hand through torrential rains
Memories that are easily forgettable to her like so many matrix glitches
Via social media a breakdown of a second-hand romantic
Or an aggressive overshare from an anti feminist housewife
Perhaps realising the misogyny and lack of equality zeitgeist dynamic
Retrospectively and currently never considered my emotions and this is your life
