invisible
Everyone’s watching her
looking for a weak link
in the chain of her reality
And I’ve never seen her more happy
than when the spotlight
shines in her direction
I can’t remember the last time
I spoke to someone whose heart
was untangled
my own tied up in so many knots
it might never come undone
long enough to beat unanxious
And no one’s watching me
looking for a weak link
in the chain of my reality
Cause I don’t rate that high
on the scale of someone
who needs saving
regardless of how hard I’m falling apart
I’ve never felt more invisible
than when I’m caught in the middle
and my pain becomes obsolete
to everyone around me
Cause no one is listening
when they’re looking at her
I’ve never seen her more happy
than when the spotlight
shines in her direction
