Immortality
When I was young
Me and my friend would play pretend
One game involved powers
My power would always be immortality
When I grew up
I lost myself
I lost my mortality
And I forgot my dreams
Today with a pen in my hand
And an ink trail on my pages
Finally, in this moment
It’s not a foolish child’s game
My mind is immortalized
Me and my friend would play pretend
One game involved powers
My power would always be immortality
When I grew up
I lost myself
I lost my mortality
And I forgot my dreams
Today with a pen in my hand
And an ink trail on my pages
Finally, in this moment
It’s not a foolish child’s game
My mind is immortalized
