Clever Excuses

We live in a world of the have and the have nots
And if you have not society treats you like a thot
Money over everything is the sad mentality of a few
And if you're broke they don't want to deal with you

To capitalize off the misfortunate guys is the guise of capitalism
I now realize why so many "bad guys" are locked down in prisons
Enslave the poor to provide even more wealth for the rich one percent
Meeting quotas every quarter by keeping an influx in police precincts

Destroying the legacies of families all because of petty crimes derived by man
How long do you wage a war before you decide to wave the white flag
Locking down your citizens again and again thinking that some day you'll win
They need to strategize and devise a much more effective game plan

Obviously it's a fallacy to believe that they really want true rehabilitation
That's just a smoke screen used to deceive all of the peons in this great nation
The forefathers shouldn't have even bothered creating the Constitution
Seems like everyday they're taking more rights away by using clever excuses
