A Collection Of Lost Words
I keep losing the words
in the waves of insecurity
Pages carried away
in the tumultuous tides
Delicious vignettes
crafted to amuse
these faceless companions
along for the cruise
I've lost three today
neglecting to polish them
with any care
and when the time came to retrieve them
they were no longer there
Yes, I'm probably distracted
by what I need to escape
when I pen with the felt tip
to deviate

this is an interesting poem, but I feel there is not enough imagery in it. The flow is a little off but of course you write how you want to write! To me, the poetry is talking about being lost for words in a society that does nothing but talk, and yet hardly ever listen.

Thanks for stopping by. I play with different approaches. I am still a student of imagery. And although I agree with your take on society, it really was about the poems that got lost.

I perceived this as being about writers block! It is true, sometimes we all lose words or fail to find them in the first place which can be frustrating! Great write dear!

So true, Star. The mind can only contain so much. And sometimes the infringement of time can snatch a good line. Very frustrating, indeed.
