Maybe not Reverie

As a siren  
calling from the sea  
   
luring me  
   
to unknown depths  
assuring safety  
from perpetual tears  
drowning fears  
of shipwrecked hopes  
   
dismissed
as someone else's dream  
   
between the seam  
of horizon  
where oceans  
fade into skies  
   
lies promise in your eyes  
a reverie    
left behind  
 
reflection
mostly ghostly  
   
a past not meant to be  
yet a future possibility
