Desire for the New Year: A Haiku Quadruplet

Hello there. First off, you've followed the rules for Haiku; good start right off the bat.
Despite only being able to use a limited amount of words, you've managed to portray the narrator's desire for peace, making it seem so simple (which in reality it is, but human greed throws that idea into the trash bin). Well done!

Thank you for reading and taking time to respond so kindly. I sadly agree. I find the capacity to ignore basic and essential practices of kindness and gratitude distressing. A bit of empathy and compassion goes a long way.
A Haiku is not my normal format. There was something just not sitting right with me on the flow of this one and I have made some minor revisions. I hope for the better:)

Personally, I didn't find anything wrong with the flow. Every author/poet is the most hard on themselves.
