We have to do this today, though I know you don't want to
Because there is this pressure in your chest, and its hard to breathe
And I know your soaken wet, even though its 68 in the house, you vampire
Get your ass up, lets take a shower
Brush our teeth
Comb our hair..
Smile
Forget there is a gaping hole like a picket fence missing a few pickets
Please pick up our pride, we still deserve to as much as anyone else

Today, we will be conquerors
Get dressed
Wear some cologne
Smile
It's going to be okay, soothe the storm inside our chest
And stop taking life for granted with each trembled breath
Protest the feeling capable of stealing the shine of what should be blessed
And possess the strength to treat us right
"Protect yourself, but do not build walls"
Is a lesson we have failed, every day of our life
When you chose to lick your wounds, with just the voices in your head
Instead of seeking help
Not a day has gone by that has had to be this way

That's the pill lodged in our throat right now
So relax, lets learn from our mistakes
We have to open up today, start to heal
And deal with this Thing effectively
No more telling me that we are worthless
We do, in fact, have value
You are not fat, you are not ugly
You are god damn BEAUTIFUL
You are talented
You are worth it, you are perfect
You deserve to live and to be happy
( though some assembly is required )
You better start smiling
Today marks the first day of our happily ever after the disaster
That you thought would claim our life
But it is our own, and only we dictate it's quality
I don't know about you, but I'm tired of being this way
