that I can catch every thought
spinning in your head
or even make it spin in mine
I’d love to make you spin
my way
what if I hear your fear and despair
what if I know where to find you
would you be still hiding?
would you be still playing?
what if I hear your favourite perfume
sweet orange blossom oil
on every corner of the streets?
would you believe me?
would you laugh at me?
sounds deceiving you
they are serving me
what if I sing
melody of brilliant lights
in a blurry sky of my mind
to you
those memories of you
and what would you do?
if I can hear you as I do

You take a simple metaphor that would be easy to overwork
but keep it fresh. Each re-statement changes the meaning,
progresses the story. Like this a lot.
