I once walked through life
Alone though surrounded
Untouched but taken
Loved yet ignored
What a lonely path to walk
Heart slowly decaying
Pain like shards of bone
Splintered and scattered inside
Hide the agony with smiles
Let the affront go without challenge
Avoid confrontation today
Our "love" secure until tomorrow
