The reason I RL this. It's the truth. I have no social media accounts. This site is the closest thing I have to anything about people I don't know. I left Fakebook, messenger, Twitter. I was sick of the notices of what people thought was normally interesting to them. Example: "Omg. I just ate a taco and now I have gas ''. Seriously, who gives a shit. Then the so called family and friends comments. " I'd love to see you soon. I miss you so much. I wish we lived closer'' BULLSHIT'' If you are my friend or family and you love and miss me so much? Pick up the fucking phone and call me. I could give a shit if you have gas.
But, if you haven't heard my voice in a month. It would've been funny to talk to you while you I gave you crap for hearing you pass gas.
It's on Facebook, the internet,ect.  Then it MUST be TRUE.
My friend who was being hidden from her abusive relationship. Has 4 fake FB accounts. Pictures of her altered to disguise what she really looks like. Fake names for the kids. Fake names on the account. Bogus emails. And, posted time lines of her daily post. That is being written by her daughter trying to show a bogus trail of time and places.
I get it when it works for most . I get it helps family and friends connect from different places.  But, why do people have to be involved in someone else's life and make comments that always get back to the person . By the time ' Dads dog died' gets posted. His lovely granddaughter replied . " I'm sorry Butch is gone gramps. "
Her friends list with 3000+"Friends'' that is public or I only share with friends of friends post her comment to her 3000 "friends? Some dickweed who is pissed off at friend 1536 . Post " Fuck yeah he's dead. I killed him thinking of you''
Poor grandpa reads this. Upset someone killed his beloved Butchy. Grab his chest and dies because some smuck couldn't keep his mouth shut thinking it was his business to comment on a post he knows absolutely nothing about.  
Thanks for the soapbox David,lol. This write is exactly what happens when people with no life decided they must involve their opinions .

Once again you've hit the nail on the head David. Unfortunately the good side of FB gets overshadowed by the negative side. I've found many old friends I had no idea where they moved to after my school days were over and family that has spread across he country. I take the good with the bad. I consider you a friend right here on dup. We are not connected on FB and don't need to be. But often I find people are not who they claim to be. They seem to enjoy hurting others and then hiding behind the cyber-walls of the internet. I imagine they get quite a laugh out of causing others pain.

I actually read the poem, which is great! And then I read the comments and I'm thinking you're onto something here. Love your reply to the comment from the dizzy one above. I have a facebook account that I could probably close because I use it so little. But there are a handful of people I communicate real-time through the messenger system so I'm reluctant to sever those ties. But yeah, I'm with Lady Q. I don't give a rat's ass what you had for breakfast or any of that day to day nonsense. I'll share the random picture of a sunset or something I find beautiful or humorous. But for me, it's not meant to be taken seriously or as gospel. And that fence post...be careful of splinters. I'm just saying... So many huge hugs for you!  :-)

This poem is brilliant and will definitely resonate with some people, myself included. By todays standards Social Media is a joke, and it's sad to see even those in my own house who overinduldge in a blithe realm of nearing Idiocracy...

I wrote a paper in college about a similar subject; Social Media perhaps being a bi-product of what humanity has digressed to already. I say we hightail it to an exotic island and leave the fools to their Facebook Fuckeries!! - LOL! =)))))

And- of course! The ending! Smug and wry... how do you do it?! Hehe many smiles =) Huge Hugss for Humor!!
