No Greater Love

I remember many years ago
I was young when i gave my heart to the Lord
It broke my heart to know that i was loved so very much
That someone would die so I could live
Now as i reflect upon those memories
It comes to my attention everyday
All of the wonderful people who give their lives
So we can all live
So we can all worship
So we can all spend that Sunday afternoon
Eating a home-cooked meal
Enjoying time with our families and friends
The Bible says no greater love hath mortal man
then for our friends,families, even complete strangers,
to die
When you turn on the news,
Say a prayer and offer thanksgiving
For all our heroes here and overseas
Bless them and their families Lord
