Seeing You In Hell
We were not ready to take the next step
Because we were too afraid looking over
Our shoulders. Darling, your bad rep
Was becoming unlucky like a clover
And was following right behind us
Constantly. There was all this tension
Permeating the air. I was too tired to fuss
And fight over girls who had your attention
More than I did. Other people mattered
More to you and I hated everything blue.
I would rather have everything shattered
All over the floor rather than trying to
Fix the unfixable. You never knew or
Cared to know that it took me a while
To get over all of it. The internal war
Was pointless. I had to fake smile
And pretend like it did not hurt
At all. I remember all of those
Times you pushed me into the dirt
Without ever caring about if I rose
Back up or not. You were never
Concerned about my heart or well
Being. Darling, the pull of the lever
Was all on you. Your charm and spell
On me has worn off. See you in hell.
Because we were too afraid looking over
Our shoulders. Darling, your bad rep
Was becoming unlucky like a clover
And was following right behind us
Constantly. There was all this tension
Permeating the air. I was too tired to fuss
And fight over girls who had your attention
More than I did. Other people mattered
More to you and I hated everything blue.
I would rather have everything shattered
All over the floor rather than trying to
Fix the unfixable. You never knew or
Cared to know that it took me a while
To get over all of it. The internal war
Was pointless. I had to fake smile
And pretend like it did not hurt
At all. I remember all of those
Times you pushed me into the dirt
Without ever caring about if I rose
