Thinking

I think I'm so clever
I think I'm so smart
I think I know everything
that I'm the bright spark

shining so brightly
as I illuminate
I think I think thinking
is what makes me great

I'm telepathic
I know what you feel
I know that it's feelings
that make thinking real

sometimes the river
the turbulent stream
of thinking I'm thinking
seems like a dream

still I am thinking
watching my thoughts
resisting attraction
by watching air brought

with each inhalation
the pause in between
the rhythm of breathing
like riding a beam

as I'm releasing
as I let go
thinking's just thinking
I think that you know

I'm not so clever

while feeling with heart
