For Whom The Bell Tolls
stomp stomp stomp
noises on my porch
stomp stomp stomp
within my hand a torch
"heh heh heh giggle giggle"
"Get the gun ready"
"Got it right here"
"Bitch better have some cash"
ding dong
ding dong
rap! rap! rap!
click, crrreeeeekkk!!
"Trick or Treat"
"My, you are some tall ones"
voice behind the vail
welcome to my lair
welcome to your hell
they step into my darkened hall
lit only by a flame
ready to enrich themselves
while passing on the blame
"You must be a zombie"
cancer's got your soul
smelled it when you rang my bell
now you'll pay my toll
"And this one, next to you,
Dracula I think"
you're out of luck you sorry fuck
no blood here to drink
"Would you like some candy"?
opening my robe
nothing for the eye to see
'cept darkness that forebodes
Gun exposed, trigger pulled
Bam! Bam! shots ring out
pass right through, nothing touched
hear their screams and shouts
My arms extend, wrap them tight
robe around their souls
feel them squirming, fighting back
yet anchored till they're cold
Two more down, many more
living fast and loose
wickedness the reason why
allows me to seduce

I don’t even know your name. And my Uncle Olaf always told me not to accept candy from strangers. I do have a weakness for fruit however....so if you have any watermelon, pineapple, raisins, prunes, or pluots....I’ll happily accept

Whoah! Masterfully put together!
I really love the sound effects and the way you used the fonts to form a nicely told story! It created a very vivid view...!

Thank You Naajir. Love telling scary stories to my grandkids with a message within the tale. This was an abridged version of one made to fit the words in the challenge.
Thanks again for the visit and kind words.

Thank You C_F. A bit of getting myself and maybe others into the spirit of the holiday. Just 10 days left till the witching hours here. When I was young, we set up a haunted house for the neighbor kids each year in our garage. Many scary yet fun memories from those times. Todays living styles don't really allow for those experiences anymore.

Thank You My Lady. This holiday as been a favorite with me through the years. Sadly the area we now live in doesn't have many children to visit on Halloween and only few come to the door. I always enjoy the evening though still.
Your visit and nice comment is greatly appreciated.

Re. For Whom The Bell Tolls
I really enjoyed reading this. I have always had trouble fitting onomatopoeia into my poems. Is there a significance to the title? Or is it merely coincidental that it shares the name of one of Hemingway's books?

I enjoy using words that describe sounds within a poem when it accents the narrative.
The title though not coincidental, I felt fit the poem as to the ringing of the door bell and end result, so, I repurposed it.
Thank you for the visit and comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the read.
