Drifting Away
Light.
Feathery.
Particularly airy.
Numb to the bleakness of reality.
Eyes hazed over
But I can see just fine.
However
I don’t want to see
The things you show me.
For what you reveal to me
I already know.
Yet, I don’t know
What to expect
From you or from this;
So I sit here
And reminisce
Eyes closed
Full of bliss
Heavy heart, lighten spirits
I’m drifting away
Away from you;
My one and only
An oxygen source;
But now you’re gone
And I can’t breathe
So I just lay back
Close my eyes
And inhale the smoke instead.
