Action, reaction, consequence and the death of conscience
impulse
sometimes good
oft not so
and that is too often
the case
love
at first sight
with
the benefit of hindsight
looks
feels
torture[s]
in the end
the point
that enrages
the coldest
of hearts
is
you start a journey
promising
till death do us apart
then your actions
say otherwise
with reactions
and consequences
not only
to the detriment
but to the utter destruction
of the fellow traveler[s]
and their souls
one of
the so called
soulmates
become
soulless
a million
miles
from a mate
then
he starts all over again
ignoring
at this point
it is darn impossible
for the other
to do the same
ahhh....
justice?
well it is blind
deaf
dumb
'cept to the language
of dollars
and so it tries to compensate
for the same
and only the same
and that
is lame
and
the worst part
of your unconscious
action and the resultant reaction
is left
for those to bear
the consequences
whom
are least equipped
to deal with
this
is the point
where your conscience
dies
dies
dies
love
at first sight?
or
the beginning of
the
[bitter] end?
sometimes good
oft not so
and that is too often
the case

at first sight
