SILHOUETTE OF PLEIADES

Yours was the voice I heard
An echo as refracted light
Through the vacant abstract
Into my wistful mind

Pulled upon my being
Phantom pain
From love to disdain
And back again

Preparations disturbed
Undone as the labyrinthe
I was nigh to the end
To greet denegation

Liquid discord, I seek to drown
Somewhere beyond all eyes to see
From that distant place you call to me

This dusk, elegiac
I gaze upon the setting sun
That took what I'd become

All is still come the night
The wind bore no wings
And the perturbing silence
When no songbird sings

I am kissed by Winter
And memories shape in the void
So very far from my grief

She is gone
Long before the epitaph fades
And I am left to gather dust

Morning once again, skies of lethe
Bereave me of all that I have left
