CADENTIBUS CALIGINE

Bleak soliloquy, my lamentation
Carressed by momentary drafts
A door that stays shut 'til the end
Left with nought but hatred

The light pours into the room
Scattered across vapid walls
As I reminisce from the dark
The pain of longing for the sun

Rot festers here
I know the carrion
I am soon to be one

Black gown of night
Moon weaves between the bars
Rope drapery 'neath my flesh
Sanguine exhalation
I have but lingering ire
To grant me another day

Take me back to the moors
Torn from within your final words
Once I am born again
Then, you will remember these eyes

Spurred from sleep, heartbeat strung
Echoes through the stone halls
I know that death has come

The sky wrote my epitaph
As the clouds blanket the sun

Vacuous, I reach for the fog
Darkness emerged from her lips
And motion becomes the world
Slave to the gird, I turn

A feint beyond my struggle
Her gaze shifts from me
I see the mist of apathy
A mask for her sorrow

A lone image burns through
Sears me with a last cry
Choked between each labored breath
A weight falls upon my shoulder
And a charnel hand on hers
That last stole my dream

Saw the blade disappear
Blood escapes her throat
Falls into the dirt
To meet me in Hell

Take me back to the moors
Torn from within your final words
Once I am born again
Then, you will remember these eyes
