Burning Away Shaddows

The light within you has illuminated a heart long ago fallen dark
Burned away the shadows with glowing red embers and your fiery spark
So as Winter creeps closer with cutting icicles to chill your aching bones
Let me silence their nervous chattering and your ghostly-Hallow moans
I can hardly express how blessed and happy I am to be your friend
An honor I don't take lightly and one I will cherish until the very end
An end that will not be made with choices spoken on these Earthly planes
But may be erased only when there is no more space for growing pains
For life's lessons do not cease no matter how many years we count our age
There's always room for the muse to fill with poetry on the unwritten final page
