Hidden From Me
In my mind, climbing the highest mountain
looking around at the wondrous sights
feeling as if I have achieved the greatest of heights
for a moment, feeling complete
Swirling clouds drift away
revealing a higher mountain unseen before
one that reaches into the heavens
so high the peak remains obscured
I want to go there
I want to see what it looks like
I want to know what has remained hidden from me
I want to feel what I have never felt before

Like this one a lot. There are always higher peaks to conquer aren't there. I like the last verse especially. Very nice poem!

Thanks, this was actually part of a letter I wrote several years ago that I felt was very poetic and decided to lift it out as a poem.

I found this poem to be very inspiring..reaching for new heights and seeing what is hidden from us..it's an everlasting quest..lovely..peace Crim

Thank you Crim. I am glad you like it. I deliberately left out a part that tells what it was specifically about so that it would have a more generally inspiring effect. Sometimes the mystery is better left to the reader to decide.

Agreed. A little bit of mystery never hurts... makes the reader think and gives it's own meaning to everyone. Awesome read :)
