because I didn't tell you everything        
each little detail of my past & present        
       
I don't feel obliged to disclose my life story        
you wanted my reality        
i've shared some        
       
it's been ugly & nasty        
some beautiful victories        
mostly beaten into the ground        
just to brush the dust off        
& walk on        
       
i'm a fighter        
I don't know how to lie down & quit        
I'll go 12 rounds    
with the monsters in my head        
they're much more vicious        
than the ones walking around        
       
did you want reality lite?        
sprinkled with fantasy        
       
don't get mad at me now        
if you can't handle white lightening        
straight no chaser
