For All Of Us
I am not a poet
I am not a writer
I'm a scribbler
of fable fantastic parables
a weaver of calligraphy
a seamstress of
rhetorical clairvoyance
same as the next who
bleeds from their pen,
Just a harbinger
of sorrow
a bearer
of light
a cloaked
memory suppressed
waltzing in my archives,
no better than the next
no lesser than you
a soothsayer we be
always embellished
and misconstrued,
craftsman and
mother quills
ordained from
divine light
driven to drop
knowledge
even if our stars
refuse to shine
even if are notion
of love remains
bound and buried
for all of our time,
we don't do this
for recognition
or to heal what's already
made us strong
we scribe cause
in the end
it's the only song
that needs to be sung.
