Shimmering Stars (I Didn't Want To Let Go)
shimmering stars in the sky
light up the night
as I held you so tight in my arms
I didn't wanna let go
the moment that I felt you
so close to my heart
but now I see
you turn and walk away
heaven has fallen
as the stars fall all around me
shimmering stars
turn to withering flame
falling from the sky
I'm left standing
here alone feeling so cold and afraid
who's gonna stop the tears

Such a gentle and moving love poem. It could quite easily be transferred to music I feel; maybe sung on an acoustic guitar.
I like the use of repetition also. It is quite intense, moving and sad. Well done. A real keeper.

Yes, that doesn't surprise me actually. You can usually tell real poems apart because you can feel or / and relate to them. :-)
