Awake
I had a dream about you, you wouldn't believe how big he was.
You just got done walking him to school.
I met you outside your house, your hair was a mess, and you were wearing that dress I like.
You gave me that look, the one I used to get when I saw you every morning.
I wanted to say something, but I also just wanted to savor the moment.
Then I woke up, I wanted to go back, look at your face, live in that moment just a while longer.
You would believe how perfect it felt, how happy I was.
But even in my dreams I know that I should let you go.
