I want something
to numb my mind
and take

Something to stop the
sacrilegious dance
of the demons
in my head.
They cavort on the inside
of my skull
upstairs neighbors
keeping me up at night.
One little shot so that
I can't feel their
twisted hooves carving
sins into my soul.

Thank you very much, I am so glad you enjoyed it. My mind has recently gained some solace so your wishes for me have already been granted to an extent. Here lately I have not cared if it was selective or not.

Neat little write this one. Enjoyed the short phrasings of the stanzas. I enjoyed the thought of your thoughts being upstairs neighbours. Nobody likes their neighbours after all.
