StasiS
Self imposed imprisoned stasis
Locked away from those distant places
Casting shadows, inevitably faded fast
Moments atrophied, never meant to last last
A cell constructed with elegant design
A structure to halt the steady decline
Words now fragments, like lost sensations
Trapped in wordless, icy contemplations
In silence hidden far away
Becoming less relevant every day
Alone here pressed against the glass
Gaze in fascination as the seasons pass
See twisted paths all intersecting
A bystander sidelined, just reflecting
Yearn for rain and sun, the clouds pass
Etch these images upon the frosted glass
No longer a part of that world
Where possibilities like sails unfurled
Fashioned the key, then threw it away
Watch the world outside in beautiful decay
Locked away from those distant places
Casting shadows, inevitably faded fast
Moments atrophied, never meant to last last
A cell constructed with elegant design
A structure to halt the steady decline
Words now fragments, like lost sensations
Trapped in wordless, icy contemplations
In silence hidden far away
Becoming less relevant every day
Alone here pressed against the glass
Gaze in fascination as the seasons pass
See twisted paths all intersecting
A bystander sidelined, just reflecting
Yearn for rain and sun, the clouds pass
Etch these images upon the frosted glass
No longer a part of that world
Where possibilities like sails unfurled
Fashioned the key, then threw it away
Watch the world outside in beautiful decay
