Skipping Amnesia

I catch your
tears in a glass,

so I can taste the
salt of your burdens.

Erase happiness away
just to live in regret
for a moment
to rise beyond grace.

Pieces of you littered in
my jagged memories.

Missing the breath of
your sapphire whisper.

Cutting the cord of
my tethered misery.

Flickered flame of a
candle dancing in the rain.

Leave me adrift
in the balance,

cascading silver
streams of days buried
blessed amnesia.

Held on to the singultis
of a skipping arrythmia.

Praying it flatlines
in my hand
so the twinkle of you,

will always shimmer
in the galaxy of my mind.
