Silence
Silence is deafening
Silence is the quite that entraps you
Silence is breaking on the inside with a smile on your face
Silence is the life I live hour by hour, day by day
Silence is the one thing that I no longer want to be a part of
I want the noises of life to wash over me
I want the joy, the laughter, the love
I want the tears, the heartache, the pain
I want to break from this chamber I have been a prisoner of for years
I want to hear the walls crumble around me
I want to hear the winds as they softly wipe my tears away
I want my life back
I want to live again
I want to hear the world
Silence is no longer my captor
Silence is no longer my life
Silence is now another memory of the past
a stepping stone under my feet
as I smile at the sounds of the world as they embrace me
Silence is the quite that entraps you
Silence is breaking on the inside with a smile on your face
