Thank you for the breeze and fine write Grace.  It's hot as Hades in L.A.  It's a little hard to read the third stanza with the background to your layout.  Other than that, loved it!

This has a lovely measured cadence that takes me into the scene. The sway of vegetation, the waves of heat rolling off the ground, the creak of the rattan chairs. It's really the yin to the yang of my recent post, which is fevered and verbose. Yours is gentle and possesses a far more subtle voice. Well done.
