Sleep (Or Lack Thereof)
Slow static keeping pace
With the dream world I can’t face
Air conditioner turned up high
As sleep still passes me by
Tossing turning, waiting for it to come
Feeling stood up, like a date left dumb
And as I see all the other girls are out
I’m the girl left home to pout
Soft snuffles fill the roof
The sleeping noises seal my doom
For a jealousy fills my heart
For I blame snores for keeping us apart
With the dream world I can’t face
Air conditioner turned up high
As sleep still passes me by
Tossing turning, waiting for it to come
Feeling stood up, like a date left dumb
And as I see all the other girls are out
I’m the girl left home to pout
Soft snuffles fill the roof
The sleeping noises seal my doom
For a jealousy fills my heart
For I blame snores for keeping us apart
