Angels and Aristocrats

Bewildering silence speaks softly.
Alluring with promises of quick profit,
With nothing to gain.
With nothing to lose a confused boy
Turns his life to the sky.
A questionable outcome.
A life once lived by artisans
Hastens to a disfigured smile.
All the while he spreads his wings.
All the while an angel whispers
"There are some things you should know."
And with a sudden lack of control,
The boy let go.
Now watch him as he falls to the ground
And the irony soaks the soil and turns a deep red.
Once again the silence is fed by greed.
