I am Just Sad

I'm sad for all the girls that walk down streets terrified
I'm sad for all the girls who don't feel safe at school or work
I'm sad for all the girls that don't feel safe at home
I'm sad for all the boys who feel like they can't speak up
I'm sad for all the boys who aren't aware what's going on
I'm sad for all the boys who think things are okay
I'm sad for all the people that think things are going to be okay
Because how it's looking, it's not going to be okay
We're all going to hell but there will be no Satan or Lucifer
It'll be a hell that we've made, that we built by our own negligence
It'll be where were are bound and gagged by social constraints
And can't voice individual thought for fear of our lives
And then what will people say about this time?
This fucked up time where rape is the victim's fault,
And we shoot bullets at vests instead of unloading the gun?
We'll look back and say, "If only we did something then."
But right now, faced with all the people who will not speak with me
To help me get my voice loud enough to shake the Earth,
I am just sad
