Image for the poem The Arcane Enchantress

The Arcane Enchantress

The wrought iron gates swing wide
A chateau emerges through the mist
The silence is pervasive
The quiet of this velvet night

Carmilla leads him to the feast
Game hens, grapes and suckling pig
The wine a local vintage
For dessert the richest tart

Carmilla peels off her gown
Allows entrance between silken thighs
And there, at last, a pearl gleams
The precious of this queen of dreams.
