the hunger of a
crying common man
leaving him blind to
what surrounds him
sucking his energy
letting him dry and die

every nation, every land
every country thrived on
an idealism sugar coated
to make the simple minded
worship that same idea
and kill for it...
 
the media runs campaigns
to cover the truth  
filter the news to corrupt  
the minds of the population
if the so called mass media says
not to trust the president
who do we trust?
 
men created the system
then men fought against it
refuse to accept the results
whoever won, has won  
by the system
 
half rowing towards left
another half towards the right
the canoe floats without  
a direction to move
 
when the hunger growls
they feed a bottle
with a different flavour
and we sleep like
satisfied babies
