fallout
carried away
by a tumultuous storm
my soul washed up
broken & battered
in the land of forgotten
a place of nowhere & nobody
it's an empty place
where the people
are all identified by number
I've found myself here
I'm not sure if I know
my way back home
inside the eye of the tornado
all was calm
I thought myself safe
then I was flung out
as shrapnel tore into my body
fallout from this mighty beast
left wounded & dazed
I wander through the nomadic lands
as the sun sucks the life from me
I traverse lonely & afraid
bewildered of mind
desolation my only company
as I seek the shade of reprieve

Ahhh! <3 c'est magnifique ! J'adore le poème.
What an amazing, touching ting to write.
I love the line here:
"I've found myself here. I'm not sure if I know my way back home."
I know the feeling of being lost all too well, but hey, if you keep walking in the samew direction long enough, you wind up rightr where you started, so change up your paths. Try new things. If you're lost, become a tourist.

Beautiful Angel, we must go for another walk through our forest, I think. Shade and cool air and breathy breezes to cool our fevered minds. As always, your words are potent and deeply felt. So much love...

rode a tornado far from Oz, Crim;
life is most often a desert
but there must be an oasis...

A very bleak but powerful write, Crim. It's a dystopian future in which numbers are worn, but as long as you're there some hope remains for other survivors. Fine work from a lady warrior.

My Beautiful Brenda...even on the darkest day know that I will be there by your side...I would walk over broken glass and through fire to reach you when in your personal hell...over with, done with, gone...and we start a new day...together...and we'll snag Ash while doing so!
I love you passionately my love!
With all my love - Taryn xoxo
