A Dream

This is a wonderfully written poem
It is not even heavy erotica
It reminds me of fine lace curtains
flying in the wind...

I don't think it's extreme, though. Feels tender and otherworldly.

its rather gentle almost serene like your describing a dance between two lovers you and another that has yet to become real in the waking world that is in the dream he is gentle and kind and perfect.

I had a hard time classifying this one...perhaps should have gone in the Love category, but I wasn't sure about the mild sexual imagery. I appreciate all of your comments...this one is very emotional and important to me.

...on many levels. I have had many dreams like this, not just in the sexually sensual sort of way, but in waking up and still feeling the dream, in a sort of in-between world. Suddenly realizing it's a dream and being so disappointed, so angry that I can feel the dream slipping away at a pace faster than those I want to forget. I can feel myself reaching out to them, trying not to let them go so I can at least hold on to the feeling and remember the taste lingering on my lips.

I have one of those I will have to dig out of my archives and post here.

I also have several that are borderline erotic and I wonder if I should classify them as such. But you know, sometimes I think I should list them as erotic anyway. I have noticed just how many more reads poems get that are listed as erotic than any other category. It's not even close. My best poems have barely been read and the ones classified as erotic that are borderline-good, get 200-300 reads in a week. Other poems that I think are my very best efforts are lucky to have a dozen reads. Like there should be a category for poems the author considers their best poem. Only one per author, but you can change it once each week. Seriously, it makes me crazy that all you gotta do is mention the 3 C's and label it erotic, the next thing you know, comments galore and reads piling up like I wish books sales would. Oh well, sorry to rant in your comment box.

I really like this poem, reaches me on many levels and erotic without being explicitly so. Very well written. I hope you write more like these, they charge my electrical wiring from the brain of no pain to the most sensitive part of my nervous system. I would be your Thor if you would be my lightening...
