( Starving Spider )
Once acted like
I had a great heart
just like an Angel
but my ego cracked
apart - along with my
fake golden halo.
~o~
I once plucked
a squirming fly
from a spider's
sticky web
but ended up
starving spider
sickly death instead.
Scolded a young child
who hovered
near a stove,
when I got
distracted
his tiny hands
got black and burned.
Kept my little
puppy in a safe
forever-fence,
once he
managed
to escape
he never came
back home again.
~o~
I welcome pain of loss
and get lost in love I lose.
Sometimes the solitude
can seem soothing and kind
but then I get bogged down
inside the quagmire of my mind.
I think one finds serenity
somewhere between
the balance,
yet my tightly
wound sideways seems
to somehow make weird sense.
Know my inner 'common-sense'
no longer keeps me safe and well
so I now need to commence
to find some way to be serene.
~o~
Don't want to get baptized
or go through some great confession,
I still hold onto my dark side,
since it's holding tight to me.
