Lately
It's in the air once again.
it has robbed twice in the past 2 weeks.
first,my boss waited till everyone left the office.
then he went into the back room.
closed the door.
put a 12 guage shotgun barrel into his mouth.
and pulled the trigger.
immediate soul evacuation.
no letter.
no hints.
no reason left behind.
only his wife and 6 yr old daughter,left behind,with no answers.
then again this past sunday.
an old school dude from the dayz of wayback.
fighting his inner demons with drugs.
don't know if he was just tired of the struggle.
or maybe he was missing his dad
who 10 1/2 yrs ago,lost his fight against his demon.
well,sitting on the couch was my old friend.
his wife in front of him.
put the semi auto .45 into his mouth.
and emptied his lifes blood on the wall and floor.
2 souls who each wore their own mask of hiding how they truly felt.
2 souls who in the end,could no longer fight the demons.
2 souls gone.
far far far away.
no more nevermore.
The demons of suicide are about.
They fight their way into our minds.
Find out our weakness and exploit it.
sometimes we are strong.
other times we fail.
sometimes we live.
other times we die.
Suicidal tendencies writhe within us all in some form.
Life rob's us all of special souls that we hold dear.

This is compelling! I like the visual of "Demons of suicide", like they're creatures that sit on your shoulder and repeat intrusive/suicidal thoughts and force the person to keep a mask on so no-one knows that they're in pain. a couple of typos: "yrs" = "years" and some missed spaces, but overall a good read.

I lost one special friend of a woman to suicide (hanged herself) few months after our last conversation when she said 'I'm depressed and I hate it". Only last week, at my workplace, a woman (I did not know her) apparently killed herself in a shower room.
