Electric Air

YOU
Took my breath
And
Tucked it away
For later days
-It's safe to say

Perhaps it was love
Or
Infactuation's haze
But
I never thought I'd see it back
-Until that train did fall from its track

Now the air
YOU took from me
Envelops me
Entirely
And
All I can do
Is
BREATHE

...

Oxygen has since become an outlet
Surging the dreaded electric chair
And
I dare to breathe frequently

The pain caresses each baited breath
But still
The air is mine once more
And
It was once tucked away
Carelessly
In a pocket I once knew

So I'll inhale
This electric air
Indulge in every breath
I Breathe
And
With each one
-Until there is none
I'll remember
The likes
Of
YOU
