Re. Field Journal
This is one of my actual field journals (photo taken by me on my digital camera at the time) opened to where I composed a collection of Haiku in longhand while at a small table at Barnes & Noble where there's a coffee shop, and I used to spend time at that table having a beverage and composing poetry.

Ah thank you so much, poet! Yes, all of my journals have spent lots of time outside, and in my car... all over the place.

Thank you, Grace! It's a wonderful tool and keeps everything at the ready whenever you need your notations of observations. xo

I love the photo, Jade, that personal touch you've given it.
So very artistic. And the back story, too. I can imagine you sitting at that table,
writing and sipping your drink.
Oh the things that journal must have seen...

to wander lonely as a cloud
with a journal & compose poems
as Wordsworth certainly did
when he sat on a hill...

Gosh John thanks so much for this. While on my wanderings, my journal tucked in a woven paisley shoulder tote with my flat digital camera inside, I truly felt I had more company around me while I'd drank in the surroundings of nature, wind & rain, than when I was among other people.

How did I manage to miss this..?
I love both the image and the poem...
And I have two of the afore mentioned journals in my messenger bag, right now...
I really like this little poem..

Why thank you, dear tommy, for your embrace & sharing of thoughts. I'm glad you finally found this version with the verse. I've written many a piece, and many notes, that later became poetry from such journals.
