Insomiac Hangover
She sits alone in the darkness
Tossing and turning
Chest pains at full swing
Listening to music used to be her escape but now
There was nowhere to hide
It hit me hard like an unexpected hurricane
I turn the music off but it’s still playing in my head Medicating will never heal
Let me sit and watch the moon
Forever in pain
Head throbbing in pain
Hands shaking violently
A hollow shell
It’s so hard to fall asleep
When you have the moon as a loyal companion
It’s a little easier to bear with the pains of the night
Unwanted memories of the past
My eyelids are heavy but my thoughts are heavier
Feels like a hangover the never ends
Sleepless night
When you have insomnia you’re never asleep
And you’re never really awake.
She hides in her world
Of laughing and friends but when she’s alone the pain never ends
