The separation
Skin from bone
The worst pain
I had ever known
Then greater still
The separation
Soul from body
I've lost my will
Death reawaken
The bruised noon
Ascending into
The eternal swoon
And I, the halfwit
Knew no embrace
Until I had met
My waking spirit.
