Fox dance

You think you're slick, but so am I.
Slick and quick and super sly.
You end your turn and I begin mine.
You go into standby and patiently wait.
I enter attack mode and watch you enter a defensive state.
You dip and dive, dodge and hide.
I swing and miss, strike and smite.
You underestimate me, curling up defenseless in your bed.
You know not that the game is rigged and I'm already two steps ahead.
Your weaknesses? I know them all.
Once I exploit them I'll watch you fall.
Sleep well til then my little  pet.
May your dreams be pleasant and not of regret.
I am patient, in no hurry.
It is your future I'm after, no reason to worry.
Ignore me and know nothing of my worth.
Spat on me and watch me squirm.
Meanwhile I'll appraise how expensive you are.
I'll walk all of the way, no matter how far.
