The Worries Of My Life
The ledger of my life looks like an empty page
And I wonder what happened to all my days
Now that I can see the end
So close to me
For all I’ve done
It seems it adds up to just one frosty breath
That lingers for just a moment by my mouth
And then disappears into the air
As though it were never there at all
As the end draws ever near I wonder
And I worry
Though I know that it’s a useless waste of what’s left
I worry
And I wonder what happened to all my days
Now that I can see the end
So close to me
For all I’ve done
It seems it adds up to just one frosty breath
That lingers for just a moment by my mouth
And then disappears into the air
As though it were never there at all
As the end draws ever near I wonder
And I worry
Though I know that it’s a useless waste of what’s left
I worry
